Daisy Chain Childminding

Inside our home we have a large open plan playroom /kitchen which looks out onto the garden. The room is designed with children in mind. The toys and equipment are stored low level so the children have access to them.

To develop children's understanding of the world, the role play area changes to fit in with the children's ever changing interests and relevant celebrations. We have created a more natural look in our indoor playroom thus making it a much calmer environment. We like to use natural loose parts, wooden toys and baskets.

Our group time takes place in the playroom where we use the self registration board,discuss our day,count the children together, and have adult led learning.

We have music and movement sessions here too, where all ages get involved.

A wide range of craft activities are available, both adult led and child initiated. 

The breakfast bar is used for table top activities to keep small parts out of babies reach.

Our comfy living room is our quite room. If a child wants a sleep or just some time to relax, then this room is for them. We enjoy our stories and snuggles here, there is always a clean comfy blanket to hand.
